Project Overview

Deir Ali CCPP-II (3-unit × 250 MW) Gas and Steam Turbine: We started with METKA providing labour force for testing and operating electrical and mechanical works in the Deir Ali substation (400 KV) and Deir Ali 2 generating station. Key works: commissioning electrical and mechanical works, overhead lines (66kV–20kV), LV/MV cable testing, supervision of MCC panels, switchgears, UPS, power transformers, switchyard equipment, DCS/PLC/field instruments, and complete mechanical circuit testing.

The Challenge

Implementing a complex combined cycle power plant with three 250 MW generation units required precise coordination of gas turbines, steam turbines, and heat recovery systems, demanding the highest levels of technical expertise and quality control.

Our Solution

We assembled an integrated team of engineers and technicians for full project execution. Our team handled testing of both electrical and mechanical systems, and operated the entire station with a dedicated scheduling engineer, quality control engineer, safety officer, and project manager.

Scope of Work

Commissioning of mechanical and electrical works for 3-unit × 250 MW
Low and medium voltage cable testing for all units
Commissioning of generators, MCC panels, UPS, switchgears, power transformers
DCS, PLC, field instruments and control valves supervision and calibration
Motor insulation testing for all station motors
Medium voltage panel testing and protection circuits
Administrative team: scheduling, quality, safety, project management
Execution of overhead lines (66 kV – 20 kV)
Supervision of MCC panels, switchgears, UPS, chargers, power transformers
Switchyard equipment commissioning (circuit breakers, disconnectors, CTs, PTs)
Electrical supply cable testing for all voltage levels
VDC 220 auxiliary systems testing: batteries, chargers, UPS
Mechanical circuit testing, pressurization and steam scavenging
